Consumers Need Help

Based on data from Label Insight and presented at SupplySide West 2017 by Brooke Bright, sr. data strategy manager at Label Insight, consumers struggle to receive the information they need via product labels. Forty-eight percent of consumers consider themselves “not informed at all” after reading a product’s label; 67 percent find it difficult to understand if a product meets their needs based on a package label; and 74 percent conduct online research if product labeling doesn’t provide the information they need.
